The Adventure Begins
Hello!
We invite you to celebrate our wedding

Rosie
Rosie is warm, vibrant, and the heart of every room. She brings laughter, strength, and so much love to this next chapter, and cannot wait to share the day with family and friends.

Our story
Like all great love stories, ours begins with confusion… and several completely different versions depending on who you ask.

Some say it was destiny. Others say it was wheelchair football. Technically, both are true.
Rosie and James first met in 2019 playing wheelchair football for Essendon. At the time, there were no sparks—just two people bonding over something far more important: long chats about their terrible Tinder dates and questioning their collective decision-making.
Fast forward to February 2020—an iconic time to start a relationship, just before the world shut down. On Valentine’s Day, Rosie sent James a casual “Happy Valentine’s Day” message. Innocent. Friendly. Completely unaware of what she had just set in motion.
This, naturally, gave James the courage to do something bold: ask Rosie out for a coffee.
Important detail—Rosie doesn’t drink coffee. So already, we were off to a strong start. Hot chocolate it was.
Now here’s where things get interesting:
James thought this was a date.
Rosie thought this was… not a date.Everything was going smoothly until James casually started talking about Rosie meeting his family. On the first outing. No pressure.
It was at this exact moment Rosie realised: Oh. This is a date.
And to her credit… she didn’t run away.
Against all odds (and questionable first-date strategy), they kept seeing each other. One date turned into a few, and just three weeks later, they officially started dating—proving that sometimes confusion is actually a solid foundation for romance.
Six years on, they’ve upgraded from hot chocolates and mixed signals to buying a house together and adopting a cat named Maxie (who is, understandably, now the real boss of the relationship).
They’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by their favourite people—and to finally agree on a single, official version of how it all began.
